Description

Ecological education is especially important for young people. Young age is the time when core values that affect behavior in adult life are being shaped. For this education to be effective there is a need to establish “healthy habits”. The main objective of the project is to increase awareness on the subject of biodiversity. This will be done by using the example of the wolf for 500 children. The aim is to increase the acceptance of wolfs and their importance for local ecosystem, and to create practical habits to protect local fauna and flora among children. The project activities include a competition; workshops; 600 copies of fairy tale books; a supply of crayons; 12 lesson outlines for teachers; the creation and management of an educational web portal with a interactive computer game; a small arboretum; and 200 sets of promotional materials. The children from Podlaskie province are expected to benefit from the project.
