Ostrołęka lies at the intersection of special protection areas in the Natura 2000 network. The river Narew with a strip of meadows and wetlands is also an international ecological corridor, recognized in Ecological Network ECONET. Therefore it is so important to raise local society's awareness of the value of biodiversity protection. The project will increase the environmental awareness on biodiversity in the region, raise interest in the idea of environmental protection and natural heritage in the country, support the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems, reduce social tensions around the Natura 2000 areas, and include curriculum issues of rational use of natural resources. The technology proposed for the production and reproduction of nature films in 3D technology is unique in Europe. The Multimedia Nature Center will increase social acceptance of Natura 2000 areas through the use of the unique technology of movies projection and the combination of research areas and education programmes. The main beneficiaries are students and teachers at primary, middle and secondary schools, high schools, children and their parents as well as the general public.
