Description

The growing demand on fish and seafood products, and related to this intensive catches lead to overfishing of stocks and unchangeable changes in the ecosystems, including biodiversity losses. The main objective of the project is to raise public awareness among Polish consumers of the impact of everyday consumer decisions on biodiversity of the seas and oceans in order to prevent the loss of biodiversity of the seas and oceans as a result of unsustainable fisheries management. The project aims to increase public awareness about the effects of daily consumer decisions on biodiversity of the seas and oceans through a media campaign and to provide the knowledge necessary in the area of sustainable fisheries. The project will carry out an educational campaign targeted at consumers, which will aim to draw to the attention of the greatest number of consumers that their decisions in shops have an impact on the health of ecosystems and biodiversity. The project is comprehensive and innovative, reaches out to all interest groups and has the potential to change the situation in the market and contribute to the conservation of biodiversity of the seas and oceans.
