Description

The project is needed because every twenty minutes one species (of animal or a plant) disappears from the Earth. At the same time, the level of knowledge and awareness of the decline of biodiversity is very low in Polish society. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the necessity of nature conservation, especially the protection of biodiversity in urban areas. To broaden the scope of our campaign, we have appointed local educators, who will spread the ideas in their local communities throughout the country. The project is expected to increase the knowledge and awareness of nature conservation and biodiversity in Poland. It will also activate local communities to act for birds and nature conservation within the frames of our campaign. The aims of the project will be achieved through various cultural, media and social activities to engage society and raise awareness: an exhibition, workshop, education, computer games, promotional material and many others. The benefit of the project relate to birds, people, urban biodiversity, and local communities engaged in nature protection.
