Summary of project results

Norway grant has supported company with a brand name PAINT ECO that is the market-leading manufacturer of natural boiled linseed oil, stains, paints, floor oil and waxes in the Baltic States. Company implemented Norway grant project with aim to develop a prototype for a new colourless coating with UV protection for outdoor works. Many of the linseed-oil paint products available in the market contain chemical additives, crude oil products, as well as water. The product created within the Norway grant project consists only from cold-pressed linseed-oil varnish with no chemical additives. Company use only natural non-organic mineral pigments for the new product, achieving natural colour tones. The company collaborated with The Norwegian Institute for Wood Technology that provided testing services for the new product recipe, as the product was unique. Implementation of the project ensured wider range of products provided by the company.
