Description

The project will promote social inclusion of people with disabilities by increasing the availability of innovative social services. In order to reach the target group and involve them in motivational programmes providing alternative services to young people and adults with disabilities publicity and information dissemination events will be organized. There will be creative workshops, sports camps for self-improvement for young people with disabilities and volunteers developing the community’s social work in the Camphill village (an innovative service), seminars for parents, for social workers. Individual psychologist consultations and series of therapeutic gymnastics classes for the participants will be provided. The partner will prepare, organize and run two summer camps

Summary of project results

Target of the project were supporting socian involvance enterprises for kids and adults with dissabilities, and this target is achieved for sure. The target groups of the project the social exclusion and poverty and at risk people, including 5 young people, 58 children and young people with intellectual disabilities, 65 children and young people with intellectual disabilities of family members, 70 persons with disabilities, 16 children and young people with functional disabilities. As well as NGOs representing the above groups of people's rights and interests, including: 4 members, 16 employees and nine volunteers. The following results have been achieved: • Valmiera City and the surrounding counties for children / young people and adults with disabilities to reduce the social exclusion risk through regular lessons useful skills acquisition; • 16 young people with intellectual disabilities to providing innovative social service - community social work development; • 40 children and young people with disabilities to self-improvement of two summer sports camps, while the 5 volunteers (including disabled milder form) provided support to these children and young people; • 44 children / young people and 40 adults with disabilities on a regular basis to provide useful and learning skills, which led participants self-development. 15 young people - boys trained in different skills of woodworking classes; • 21 members the opportunity to acquire the training program assistant for persons with disabilities receive a certificate for completing the training; • Psychologist consultations received 27 persons, both young people and adults with disabilities and family members also provide individual psychological counseling. The total amount of consultation is 175 hours; • 24 participants provided social services - medical gymnastics, health strengthening;
