Description
The project is aimed at developing a platform for high-quality brainstorming, promoting, fund-raising. It will also encourage civic cooperation and participation in decision making through the internet platform "idejuarmija.lv" helping develop new projects and find funding for them. The main project result is recovery of the internet site www.idejuarmija.lv. All project activities will be focused on promotion of the idea of idejuarmija.lv to encourage Latvian citizens to safely express their ideas and to receive both moral and financial support to implement them. The project will contribute to reverse or bottom-up approach, which determines active involvement of citizens in project creation, project development and support, as well as project development. idejuArmija.lv will serve as a platform for the implementation of good ideas thorough which one can attract assistants, sponsors and advisers to make them happen.
Summary of project results
Project “The operation of the idea implementation platform idejuarmija.lv” was intended to complement present activities of the Association Land in Bloom in the sphere of civic participation and sustainable development. The main aim was to create and introduce in society additional tool – web based crowdfunding platform to support creative project in innovative way. During the project crowdfunding web page
www.projektubanka.lv (ENG - Project Bank) was created and people where involved in the crowdsourcing activities. It is the the first and still the only reward based crowdfunding platform in Latvia. And the project is not only about collecting money – its about helping people to realise dreams, to formulate their ideas, to generate creative projects, to advertise them and attract additional attention in society, to cooperate and integrate, encourage people to act as well as help each other. Project group was realising few general activities – creation and operation of the new web platform, meeting with potential project applicants, doing public relations and advertising, attending public events to explain the processes, meeting with potential future sponsors/partners. During the project implementation 95 project ideas were prepared and issued, funding was attracted for 22 projects. Part of the successful projects co-financed by other support programs. Platform invested from more than 1,259 investors/supporters. Project sustainability is provided with the continuation of the work of this open web platform and future success depends of general understanding and readiness of society to accept innovative tools. Also partnership with few general sponsors/partners are created to develop platform and provide services further.
