Description
The research and development in the field of aluminium foam results a new type of material which shows outstanding mechanical properties and has controlled and homogeneous pore size distribution. In the project there will be designed and installed an alternate composite bulking technology together with the quality assurance system and equipment of the aluminium composite and aluminium bulk foam panels. The next step will be the full life cycle design of the products and the development and implementation of heat treatment and recycling technology of the aluminium foam. As the direct result of the project, an environmental friendly, industrial-standardized production technology will be realized. This technology includes the entire life cycle of aluminium foam products, a green substitute product and a prototypes with multiple application features. The latter is based on the international negotiations in the subject of utilization of the products, in cooperation with the potential buyers. The Donor partner is the Norwegian University of Science and Technology – NTNU. The NTNU task is to develop a new heat treatment technology for aluminium foam.
