The project aims to draw attention to the extravagant evening light, Because the problem, such as environmental damage is unknown in the society. Therefore the target groups is wide: stakeholders, majors, leaders, students and representatives of the public sector, policy makers. And it aims to build also a wide partnership with city councils, universities, NGOs and of course local people. Main objectives: -Paradigm shift about light pollution and it's effects -Preparation and creation of International Starry Sky Park nomination package -Measurable reduction of light pollution -Better understanding of initiatives and other's needs -Strengthening civil influence into decision makers Outcomes, results: -BNP lighting and light pollution survey, preparation of Submission Document for Starry Sky Park -Luminaire replacements -National park light pollution and luminaire database -Submission package -Better understanding of light pollution for people and for desicion makers -Environmental awereness raising

Summary of project results

The project aimed to draw attention to the extravagant evening light, Because the problem, such as environmental damage was unknown in the society. Therefore the target group was wide: stakeholders, majors, leaders, students and representatives of the public sector, policy makers. And it aimed to build also a wide partnership with city councils, universities, NGOs and of course local people. In the project more than 15 different partnership was build. All the main objectives were achieved. In some settlements the paradigm shift about light pollution and it's affects has been successfully started. The Starry Sky Park nomination has been successfully submitted. In the targeted area the reduction of light pollution is measurable, due to the awareness raising and the replaced luminaires.
