Description
The aim in the project is for cumulated handicapped women’s venereal consciousness to be enhanced, their social activity to be strengthened and their social integrity to be facilitated. The target group are handicapped women, the specialists who are working with them, and cooperating civil people and smaller communities of the society. During the project the project promoter is going to implement trainings and action programmes with the target group - also street actions - and will be focusing on online and printed communication. During the project the applicant organization is going to work together with the Ars Erotica Foundation to build modern methodology to the handicapped cases by the Ars Erotica Foundation, to be able to gain experience with handicapped women for them. Spreading the knowledge in the civil sector, extensive communication with the contrivance of the new generation, along with the result of the widespread civil publicity.
Summary of project results
In Hungary people with intellectual disability are not known. The able-people don't know them, don't hear about them, sometimes they just a little bit curious about them - but that's all. With this project the organisation was working on changeing these situation from the basics to break a taboo and speak about some really important issues like sexuality, intimacy and contraception etc. Workshops, street actions have been organized to work on these topics and two publications have been issued that are being promoted in schools, institutions and in the healthcare system. The organisation have 3 online pages, so everybody could follow the project and can also see the results of the project in the future, for example the videos, pictures, articles. The project objective was reached, because the participants are more comfortable with themselves now, after the project. Participants were helped to be more self-confident and accept themselves, besides a new methodology for experts was made in this field. Every planned activities and outputs were achieved, participants were active and enthusiastic in the project, they were totally involved.
