Description

We can observe in our city, that in-family violence is growing and the most vulnerable are the children. Our projects goal is to let more people know about this problem and to reach different social groups with prevention/solution. During our campaign we will show to people how to be more open-minded about these problems and convince them to care for our fellow-men. With the light and umbrella-paintings we can get the people's attention and along with that we could solve the problem and provide tangible possibilities on how to solve it and make the man in the street to think about it and tell them how can they help others. The target group includes the families, teachers, children from schools and social workers of Miskolc city. Besides the society itself, domestic violence can not be restricted to any ethical or social class or group. We also would like to get the injurers attention to their actions seriousness and to make them to do self-examination. The civil organizations are ready to provide help and give advice on the premises. We would also like to involve the decision-maker's to deal with this problem.

The main event was held inside and front of the Miskolc "House of Arts" in the center of the city. The first program was to paint the 100 umbrella. The hanging and the painting process of them made stop a lot of passers-by. We feel that our programs, talks, speeches in the theater and tents realy brought attention and made people think and understand the seriousness of this issue. All of our planned programs have been succesfully accomplished. We have the attendance registers, we took photos and we made a little short film.
