Description

A great number of European prostitutes come from Hungary. Most of them are of Romany origins coming from North-East Hungary. According to surveys they are victims of childhood abuse, sexual exploitation and often lived in child protection institutions. The objective of the project is to create a pilot program for the potential child victims and the professional staff working with them institutionally that helps prevention and deeper social and professional understanding of the problem.The potential child victims will have greater self-confidence,better decision-making,risk-understanding and communication skills; their self-assertion and critical thinking will be strengthened. The information flow will develop between professional institutions.Their target group are the children living in the Nyírszőlős Child Protection Institution and their professional helpers.Their consortium partner is Clowns on the orizon.Our partner is the above-mentioned institution.

Summary of project results

Slavery in the modern age is a global issue, affecting millions. The vast majority of victims were women and children, especially from the disadvantaged regions, living in deep poverty, members of ethnical minorities and children's homes. The purpose of the project of Anonymous Ways Foundation consisting of three separate occasions is raising the awareness in Saint Luke Child Welfare Centre and people living there their environment, in addition the staff and experts about the dangers of prostitution and sexual exploitation, finding non-governmental organizations active in the area, and developing effective methods of giving aid and cooperations, in the forms of roundtable talking, and drama workshops with the tools of forum theatre, the partners are: Bohócok a Láthatáron Egyesület and K. V. Társulat. The play called ’I’ll standing out for you’ is mentioned among the most important performances in the theatrical life in Budapest in 2015.
