Summary of project results

The main aim of the project was to provide assistance and help to young women, (age group: 16-30), who have suffered from violence in the family, and/or from sexual, or any other type of aggression or molestation, and for women who are in danger of becoming prostitutes. We operated and formed a complex service model to provide the above assistance. This project provided mentoring, social and legal support to victims, and it also provided a possibility for these women to take part in women’s helping groups. The aim of the activities was to strengthen the target group in order to let them become „balanced” adults and active members of society. At-risk young people were involved in educational and approach-forming programs. The helpers/mentors of the program improved their professional knowledge in personal experience training. The main partner, Megallo, was involved in almost all major activities and did mentoring. With other partners, a professional permanent connection was built.
