Description
Organ transplantation and the prior illness throw children’s biological, psychological and social condition off balance. They must face pain, maybe death, accept the new organ, live with prohibitions and a changed body image, depression and problems with learning. Healing stories facilitate the mental processing of the transplant experience, promoting equal opportunities and the re-integration of the children. By the end of the project, we expect that children successfully process their traumas and will be able to lead happy, healthy lives. The result is a toolkit consisting of a booklet of healing stories+ creative/developmental therapeutic sessions helping children with transplanted organs process their psychological traumas. Our direct target group are children from 0 to 14 years with transplanted organs and indirectly, their family members. We will to inform foreign partner organization continuously during the project, disseminate results among them and offer the method for re-utilization.
Summary of project results

A supporting book of tales developed to foster the effectiveness of the project, that used in the therapy as well.
