Description

"The number of people asking for asylum has been drastically growing in Hungary during the last two years.Their final destination mostly is Western Europe.Unaccompanied minors are exposed to serious danger.In county Csongrad 415 out of 484 escaped in 2013.Those who decide to stay are also deeply traumatized and have to face the prejudice of Hungary.There is no prepared strategy for supporting the integration while avoiding the serious problems which may arise later. Strengthening realistic self esteem,developing their problem solving skills, helping them to deal with crisis and traumatic events. Paradigm shift of the Hungarian youngsters.Helping to qualify future experts.400 art therapy sessions.Less breakouts from the Center.The children's quality of life is improving.More effective social contribution of the children.5.Unaccompanied minors,juveniles and young who are either refugees or asking for asylum or became victims of human trafficking."

Summary of project results

he number of Unaccompanied minors asking for asylum has been drastically growing in Hungary during the last three years. Their final destination mostly is Western Europe. They are exposed to serious danger. There is no prepared strategy for supporting the integration while avoiding the serious problems which may arise later. Sustainability:The professional group will stay untill february within 2 other new projects. The objective was 1.to strengthen realistic self esteem of target group, develop their problem solving skills, help them to deal with crisis and traumatic events. 2.Paradigm shift of the Hungarian youngsters.3.Helping to qualify future experts. The project reached all these points with 100 art therapy sessions, 4 exhibitions and envolving university students as volunteers. The unaccompanied minors' quality of life improved, and their social contribution became more effective more effective. The project main benefit was to see happines on the face of the beneficiaries.
