Description

Civil-maintained homes receive the autistic who, due to insufficient government funding, are engaged in a constant struggle for survival. The project will contribute to the survival of autistic youth homes, discovering talents and changing the attitude of the society. This will be achieved by the introduction of artwork born in residential homes before an international audience, and establish relations; development and introduction of design products inspired by the pieces of artwork. The project will address the challenges by fine art programme for autistic people; weekly art therapy sessions; exhibition with guided tours, lecture and charity auction at the venue of the 10th Autistic Congress; motion picture coverage; product development; development of textile printing activity. The target groups are young people living with autism; the participants of the 10th Autistic Congress, a professional target audience.

Summary of project results

MOHA,working for the better life of the autistic people, aims for the sustainability of the Hungarian homes, improvement of professional work and social acceptance.The AutisticArt program,led by artist,combines social service, therapy with the world of contemporary culture, design, fund raising.The basis of the project were the art sessions in the homes, aiming at developing autistic creators.With the expansion of the project 6 civil homes now have weekly therapeutic sessions with a method developed by the art project manager, that lead to discovering new talents.The most beautiful motives were used by artist to design a silk scarf collection.The program, the drawings of creators with excellent visual expression tools and the scarves were introduced at the 10th International Autism Congress and were auctioned at a charity auction for the sustainability of the autistic homes.The drawings and products create valuable introduction to society calling attention to the talent and value creation of people living with autism.
