Description

The project aims to develop community gardens, to popularize the existing ones, to ensure the chemical-free community food supply. To evolve garden communities where adults and children can plan and accomplish projects together. To reclaim wasteland. To achive the goals, edible community and demonstration gardens development is planned. And they also planning the organization of the garden commugoalnities. According to the plans garden owners, townsmen without proper/own garden, teachers and students of co-operate educational institutions can benefit the project.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to develop community gardens, to popularize the existing ones, to ensure the chemical-free community food supply. To evolve garden communities where adults and children can plan and accomplish projects together. To reclaim wasteland. To achive the goals, edible community and demonstration gardens were developed. The organization of the garden commugoalnities was planned, designed and implemented. Fallow lands were reclaimed to the agriculture and these land were redesigned as community gardens with the aim of vegetables and fruitsbreeding. The gardens were opened to the public and trainings, presentments, meetings, showings/exibitions take place on it. Thanks to the project, the involved gardens became demonstration gardens of the sustainable horticulture.
