*Local communities for sustainability* There are more cooperation levels of Climate Alliance, besides the national networking activities the local community groups are very essential where our member NGOs are cooperating with local municipalities. Project goal is CA member NGOs help municipalities in establishing local autonomies and decreasing environmental pollution. *Developing local community circles* With involvement of 6 member NGOs and at least 12 municipalities the following activities will be implemented: Creating practical strategy on workshop, Small steps – Local activities related to the strategy. *Training – local decision-makers, multiplicators – 3 times 2-day-training course* Participants will get theoretical and also practical knowledge on a location where they can see best practices in the related topic. *Lifetrees of the Year 2015* We plant the tree of the year on community events in 20 member municipalities’ territory.
Summary of project results
There was more cooperation levels of Climate Alliance (CA), besides the national networking activities the local community groups are very essential where our member NGOs are cooperating with local municipalities. The poject goal was to help municipalities in establishing local autonomies and decreasing environmental pollution. For the sake of achieving this the project promoter developed „local community circles” with the involvement of 6 CA member NGOs and more than 10 municipalities. Furthermore workshops were organized aiming strategy biulding. Local activities were encouraged related to the strategy. Trainings were organized for local decision-makers where participants got theoretical and also practical knowledge on a location where they can see best practices in the related topic. As an awereness raising action community events were organized (for example "lifetrees of the Year" planting actions) in the territory of 20 CA member municipalities.
