Description

Our campaign is about the actual problem of immigration in Hungary and in Europe. The existing situation is serious: nowadays the immigrants are still the main characters of the news. The program’s actuality is given by the fact that radical voices about this theme are getting stronger in Hungary especially between the youngsters. This plan’s goal is to change the people’s opinion about the refugees, to get up against the hate speech, and let become dominant the acceptance attitude between the upper grades students in the elementary schools. Let them know more about the illegal immigrants and consequently spreading the tolerant behaviors. At the end of the program the visitors as well as the visited children will get authentic information. Our long term goal is to catch out the process of stereotyping by examining the previous months. This way the participants could notice in the future if in their environment would start a similar process and they could stand against the hate speech because they will get a model through the program. We want to reach this by the volunteers and teachers of the Vörösmarty Foundation: we will organize competitions and a conferece, we will make documentary and from this we will create a using irregular class meeting lesson with the elements of drama pedagogy. With this action we reach the students 7-8th grade who have radical mentality. Indirect target is the country's population under 35 years of age, and the parents of the students.
