As a result of the project, ESCU will get new volunteers, important documents will be translated and Russian-speaking students who will gain information about ESCU and student rights will be better represented. The project is beneficial for youngsters who will get great experiences, for ESCU because the organization will be capable of representing all of its members and for society in general because of the new and active youngsters who want to improve education policy.

Summary of project results

The objective was to increase the number of volunteers in Estonian School Student Councils’ Union (ESCU) and to include more Russian speaking youngsters to ESCU's activities. As a result of the project ESCU involved new volunteers and got more information on how to include Russian minorities to its everyday work. A working group of integration for reaching minority students and for advocating for them on a national level was also formed. The main beneficiaries of the project were both the ESCU and the minority students who were involved throughout the project's activities as they were organising events and participating in them. They gained new knowledge about their rights and also about different cultures.
