Description

The project addresses the need of the applicant to enhance its organizational and financial sustainability. The project aims at improving the applicant’s communication with the public, young people in particular, through its upgraded website with updated information, photos and web-streaming. First, the website of the community centre will be upgraded and 2 people will be hired to maintain the website, update information, process photos, organize virtual exhibitions and presentations. The website will also have an English version. Second, video streaming of materials will be organized and 30 videos will be created, processed and streamed online. The project will benefit the community centre, its management and team, bridging the gap between the cultural organization and the local community.

Summary of project results

The project addressed the need of the project promoter (Community Centre Otets Paisiy - 1893) to enhance its organizational and financial sustainability. It resulted in an innovative product for community centres which ensures video streaming through programme management of databases stored on a server. The video materials visualized on the screen (placed in a showcase in a public area in front of the community centre) show the work of the community centre and promote the landmark sights of Velingrad Municipality for the guests and citizens of the town. The website of the organization was updated and thousand times ever since and the virtual cultural and historical map was shown 233 times. The community centre team had their administrative and organizational capacity raised and an environment for better communication among cultural organizations and the public in the town was created through access to the new communication channels. The specific project outcomes: two trained community centre employees, an updated website of the centre (http://chitalishte.eu/nchop-1893/), a virtual cultural and historical map of Chepino Valley, an information video showcase with video streaming targeted at the tourists.
