Description

The project addresses the need to boost the applicant’s capacity to enable it to stay competitive. The project aims at raising the professional capacity of the applicant’s team and thus improving the long-term financial and administrative sustainability of the applicant. First, the applicant’s team will take part in a 2-day team-building event to outline its strategic plan with the help of a consultant. Second, the team will take part in a 2-day fundraising training. Next, the applicant’s Fundraising Strategy will be developed. Finally, a 2-day training course will be held for the applicant’s team to improve its skills to deliver social services, the applicant being the registered supplier of 2 social services for children. The project will benefit the applicant’s team, experts and volunteers as well as indirectly its clients.

Summary of project results

The project addressed the need to boost the project promoter’s capacity to enable it to stay competitive. The project activities ensured financial and organizational sustainability of the newly set up association. The team acquired knowledge and skills for organizational development and raised its capacity for preparation and implementation of initiatives and development and management of project proposals. With the support of experts, the team also developed a strategic plan for the next three years. The organization has found its place in public and has even managed to enter into partnership with the Municipality and be granted an office on municipal premises for a term of 5 years. The project outputs include three training packages for the project team on the topics of strategic and organizational development, planning of economic activity for NGO and preparation and implementation of projects. In addition, a survey – analysis of the needs of people with impaired mental health (200 people) was carried out based on which new services (an economic enterprise) were planned to support the target group.
