Description
Among the priorities of the Tomas Bata University, where the applicant is employed as an Assistant Professr, there is also continuous learning of the academic staff which includes both professional knowledge and skills and language competencies. The University aims also to be open to more foreign students. Applying to the internship he follows up all these objectives.The Centre for Research, Innovation and Coordination of Mathematics Teaching (MatRIC) in Norway focuses on mathematics teaching and learning within the study programmes of other subjects such as engineering, natural sciences, economics and teacher education. Applicant teachs mathematics at different faculties and he knows how important is not only knowledge, but also motivation. During the mobility he plans to attend seminars and workshops that will help him to find new knowledge and ideas and methods of how to make teaching of mathematics more interesting, understandable and attractive to the students.
Summary of project results
During the days of June 5.–12. 2016 Beneficiary took part in the educational placement in Norway. On Monday the leader of the Centre for Research, Innovation and Coordination of Mathematics Teaching (MatRIC) prof. Simon Goodchild showed him the campus of the University of Agder in Kristiansand. Then They participated at the meeting with MatRIC network coordinators. On Tuesday He went to the second campus of UiA in Grimstad where He visited audio- and video-studios where spots (primarily for educational purposes) are recorded. Furthermore, He took part in meeting with MatRIC key administrators.
