Description
The mobility project focuses on the work and legacy of Dr. Pavel Fraenkl - Czechoslovak Refugee in Norway from 1939. His work is generaly unknown in Czech republic Fraenkl came to Norway through Nansen-help, as refugee for nazi occupation in Czechoslovakia. But he was imprisoned at Grini, later to Auschwitz, after the war he came back to Norway. His academic speciality was literature history and theory, he published important texts about Bjornson and Masaryk. My research stay focuses on fraenkl´s importance, position for Norwegian and Czech literature history. The aim of the research stay at the University in Oslo is to work at the Jewish museum, Holocaust center and in the Norwegian National archive, to be able to publish an articel about Pavel Fraenkl.
