Summary of the results
The aim of the project was to increase mutual knowledge about Poles and Norwegians by presenting stories about selected Norwegians connected to Poland and Poles to Norway. The "People Stories" project not only raised interest on the Embassy''s social media but was also further shared by the project''s protagonists and organizations operating in the area of Polish-Norwegian cooperation. In order to increase the number of the audience of the project, the Embassy organized an annual advent contest on the Embassy''s Facebook page on the subject of "People Stories", consisting of 24 questions about the the protagonists. This competition was welcomed by our Facebook followers, who reacted enthusiastically and eagerly participated in it. The combination of videos airing and a panel discussion on stereotypes between Poles and Norwegians was highly appreciated by the invited guests and confirmed by the number of views of the live panel discussion. Thanks to this event the strategic contacts of the Embassy, i.e., academic teachers of Norwegian philology, Polish media, representatives of cultural organizations/institutes, non-governmental organizations, etc., learned about the "People Stories" project.
