Description

The initiative envisages supporting the organisation of the International Hybrid Conference “Barnahus - the best for child and specialists”. The format of the event provides for the possibility of face-to-face and live communication, as well as video post-event. During the conference, the participants will be introduced  with the experience during the implementation of Barnahus in Latvia and donor countries to ensure the interests and support to the victims of violence. Issues of interdisciplinary co-operation in Latvia will also be disscussed. Participants of the event: police officers

Summary of the results

Exchange of experience between legal protection institutions and specialists of Latvia and donor countries working in the field of protection of the rights of the child, as well as strengthening cooperation between the Barnahus in Latvia, Slovenia, Norway and the Norwegian Police Directorate. Conference was attended by 80 participants (incuding organizers and speakers) and participants 134 online.  The initiative strengthened the exchange of information and the transfer of best practice in dealing with child victims of violence among professionals in different areas.Expert consultations were provided. Latvian specialists acquired knowledge about practical aspects of the introduction of the Barnahus service, which affects the involvement of different co-operation institutions.
