Description
The overall aim is to develop and enhance the education in Evidence-Based Research (EBR) at the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University (FM CU) in Bratislava which will teach medical students, clinicians, and clinical researchers why and how to be evidence-based when doing research focusing on ambient assisted living (AAL).
To achieve the overall aim the following specific objectives shall be accomplished:
1. Raise awareness of the need to teach EBR within AAL among responsible persons at the FM CU in Bratislava

Summary of the results
• Main goal: Developing and enhancing the education in EBR at FM CU in Bratislava which will teach medical students, clinicians, and clinical researchers why and how to be evidence-based when doing research focusing on AAL.
This goal was achieved by elaborating five joint results: four online lectures and one online course
• Raising awareness of the need to teach EBR within AAL among responsible persons at the FM CU in Bratislava. This goal was achieved by recognizing the importance of the topic of EBR and AAL by Vice-dean for research at FM CU and enabling to conduct the lectures as compulsory lectures for all PhD students.
• Sharing the knowledge and best practices about how to teach and do EBR and apply it to research in AAL between the partners of the Initiative.This goal was achieved by the visit of the participants from FM CU at HVL University and meetings with the experts on teaching and methodology of EBR and Evidence-based Practice.
• Enhancing future cooperation between the partners of the Initiative in education and research. This goal was achieved by the visits of the participants of the projects both at HVL in Bergen and FM CU in Bratislava and meetings with other colleagues from both universities to discuss future cooperation on common project activities in research and education.
