Description

The Norwegian partner, DanceLab Dansens Hus is in an active process of staging a crosscultural dance performance named “Dancing On The Cusp” which will be a final product of a two-year EEA cultural collaboration between Norway (DanceLab Dansens Hus) and Poland (Municipality of Ladek) The aim of the current initiative is to establish a collaboration between Materia and DanceLab Dansens Hus regarding taking this dance production on tour. The Norwegian partner initiated the dialog with Materia arguing that Materia has the needed competence and resources to achieve the goal of taking a dance

Detailed description of activities according to the schedule
We divided the project into 3 phases:
- Logistical preparations
- Artistic residency 14 days of rehearsals
- Tour - 8 performances
- Artistic residency, 14 days of rehearsals
During the rehearsal period, seminars with artists in various fields were held, organized by Materia. The seminar focused on designing thinking with empathy, where producer Jarl-Tore Helmobakk showed how cultural activities are conducted in Norway, followed by a discussion with participants.
The Materia Partner hired a playwright to assist the choreographer and artistic director in the final stages of rehearsals when the play was ready to be shown to the playwright. Corrections following meetings between the playwright and artistic director were made in the last two days.
Tour - 8 performances - performances took place in:

3. Auschwitz
4. Chorzów
5. Starachowice
6. Bielsko-Biała
7. Pawłowice
8. Pleszew
