Description
The student will be fully involved in the research conducted in our laboratory. She will receive support in learning laboratory techniques used in the study of Streptomyces bacteria and other molecular biology techniques being used in our laboratory. We plan to develop her skills in creating genetic constructs, particularly large plasmids, using traditional cloning, overlapping PCR and Gibson assembly methods, and to teach her protein expression in a dedicated host as well as heterologous expression.
