Description
The Digital Marketplace of Eco-Opportunities introduces a concept of streamlining and democratizing environmental grant applications using AI tools. It will enable the expansion of grant services to a wider applicant pool and the customisation of grant offerings to their actual needs. The Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation has been a granting institution for 31 years, and this project aims to assist with the increasing grant administration and growing number of grant applicants. By correctly identifying the needs of applicants, the Partnership Foundation can seek additional resources to meet these needs and tailor-made partners, contributing to the strategic goals of the foundation.
Summary of project results
The Digital Marketplace of Eco-Opportunities introduces a concept of streamlining and democratizing environmental grant applications using AI tools. It enabled the expansion of grant services to a wider applicant pool and the customisation of grant offerings to their actual needs. The Czech Environmental Partnership Foundation has been a granting institution for 32 years, and this project aimed to assist with the increasing grant administration and growing number of grant applicants. By correctly identifying the needs of applicants, the Partnership Foundation can seek additional resources to meet these needs and tailor-made partners, contributing to the strategic goals of the foundation.
During the project we managed to create a digital grant assistant AI Cenda, which collects and offers grant proposals from 34 environmental entities from the Czech Republic and searches in real time for 90 grant calls. It is able to recommend grants to the user based on their requirements and focus.
The project helps individual civil society grant applicants, grantmaking institutions, civil society organisations and government organisations to present their activities in a more targeted, understandable and transparent way, thereby strengthening civic capacity across sectors of Czech society. The project has already been tested by more than 500 users and has also attracted interest from the Czech Ministry of the Environment.
