Description

The Anthology of Communities project aims to increase the visibility of the activity of non-governmental organizations in the field of community services among stakeholders and the general public through two awareness and involvement campaigns over a period of 8 months. On the one hand, the project meets the needs of at least 50 non-governmental organizations active in the field of community services by developing an Anthology with information about their projects, activities and work results, as well as the development of digital tools and a platform which will support their promotion and the involvement of citizens in the activities of the organizations. Also, 5 meetings will be organized that will include the performance of the play "Moara cu noroi", conceived and performed by young Roma beneficiaries of the INTERSECT project implemented by the EasyECO Association through ACF (April 2021-December 2022), as a community good practice, followed by a round table attended by representatives of local non-governmental organizations, decision-makers, journalists, the business environment, with 500 direct participants and 5000 beneficiaries of the campaign to promote the events organized in 5 cities. In parallel, a digital campaign will be run to popularize the work of organizations in the field of community services for vulnerable groups among young people, at least 20,000 beneficiaries, to increase their participation as volunteers, donors or supporters in these organizations.

Summary of project results

For the entrepreneurial training activity, the main risk identified was the decrease in community interest in the project. To counter this, measures such as meetings with local authorities, collaboration agreements validated by the authorities and the involvement of city halls in supporting the efforts were taken. Also, a target group identification tool was created and a questionnaire was developed to motivate participation in the project activities. For the counseling and support activities, the risks identified included the low participation of beneficiaries in the support activities for finding a job and the low quality of the business plans in the competition. To counter these risks, local authorities were involved in the dissemination of the services offered, a Roma vocational counselor was hired and resources were allocated for training and consultancy in the development of business plans. Applications and registration forms were also created to motivate participation in the workshops dedicated to non-discrimination. Overall, the project management team anticipated risks and implemented strategies to manage them effectively, focusing on involving local authorities, motivating beneficiaries, and providing additional support to maximize the success of the proposed project activities.
