Description
The project is a coherent and tailored response to the needs of forcibly displaced people from Ukraine to the problem of social exclusion and lack of integration services available in Romania for them. The project proposes an integrated intervention at the level of the 3 main cities hosting Ukrainian refugees: Bucharest, Galati, Constanta through a package of integration and community building services. The package of services is designed to provide the necessary tools for a Ukrainian refugee to have the chances of social and economic market integration in Romania, while at the same time maintaining links with the community they come from, avoiding the risk of self-isolation and empowering the community. The analysis carried out by S in the planning phase of the project showed that there is a very large gap regarding integration and community building services for Ukrainian refugees in Romania.
Through this project, we will create a package of basic services and activities for Ukrainians: Romanian language courses according to level (4 groups/week) and according to age, qualification courses, job-cafe organized after the qualification courses in order to find graduates a job according to their qualification, weekly activities of emotional and social support and community building,
organized by age groups and from a wide range of fields. During the period they will benefit from this integration support package, the most vulnerable among the beneficiaries will also be supported with the subsidization of the necessary medicines and medical assistance and with material help in the form of vouchers during the period they follow these courses and until they find a job. JRS has extensive experience in working with this target group and all activities have been based on consultations with target group members.
