Description

Mazurski Raj - Hotel, Marina & Spa is located in the forests of Puszcza Piska on the shore of Bełdany Lake, on over 6 hectares of land. Responding to market needs, we intend to expand the range of tourist services provided by Mazurski Raj by opening the resort widely to watermen and providing them with comprehensive service. It will include the provision of a place to carry out training for boaters, an increased number of berthing and wintering facilities for vessels, and servicing of these vessels. An important technological innovation will be the use of a mobile application that will allow the port’s boatswain to transmit information on the location of accidents, malfunctions and other hazards in the water area, including the capacity for calling for assistance with automatic transmission of the location from the application. We will also introduce remote reservations for port, training, or boat service, without the need for an employee to confirm service availability.

The investment covers the construction of a marina for 47 berths, the construction of a service hangar and of training infrastructure with facilities. The Norwegian partner, DSL STAL AS, will be responsible for manufacturing some of the structural elements of the hangar for servicing and storing boats. In addition, the acquisition of floating debris removal equipment will enable us to quickly remove large waste from the surface of the lake, which will help protect the ecosystem. Installing photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 49.6 kW will reduce annual CO2 emissions by ca. 40 tons.

Summary of project results

The main challenges of the project was to implement innovative solutions for the provision of services for people who want to spend time on vessels, especially in the Land of the Great Masurian Lakes. Thebig challenge was implementation includes the first implementation of innovations in terms of the possibility of booking a place in the port, as well as during training or boat service remotely using a mobile application without the need for an employee to confirm the availability of the service. The main challenges also was implementation for the first time in the world, in the area of inland waters, was possiblity to call for help with an automatic transfer of the location from the level of the mobile application.

The main element of the project was the implementation of innovative solutions for the provision of services for people who want to spend time on vessels, especially in the Masurian Lake District. , boat seasoning / wintering, watercraft service, as well as providing assistance on the water. Comprehensive innovation will be implemented with the use of a dedicated application, increasing water safety by increasing the skills of water sportsmen and reporting accidents, damage and other hazards on the water together with the location. The implementation of the project in the long term will allow to reduce the necessity of departures of the Masurian Volunteer Rescue Service, which now also flows to vessels that have failures of control systems / solutions, or other technical failures. The project implementation also includes the implementation of an innovative solution for the disposal of floatingmwaste in the port.

As a result of the implementation of this project, the following output indicators are achieved:

- Number of innovative solutions applied (new-to-the-enterprise) / Number of innovative solutions applied (new-to-the-enterprise)

- Number of innovative products (products or services) introduced to the market (commercialized) as a result of the project / Number of innovative products commercialized

The implementation of the project is a response to the needs in terms of comprehensive services for water sports enthusiasts in the Bełdany lake basin.

Product innovation is associated with the implementation of improved services provided for people interested in spending time actively on vessels by using a proprietary management solution as well as providing infrastructure. Systems for managing various types of tourist facilities, especially hotel services, are becoming more and more common. Nevertheless, the use of such solutions for the remote rental of boat berths, or for signing up for training or boat maintenance services, are based on the traditional approach of making a phone call / in-person visit or sending an e-mail to the target and booking / booking an appointment. The implementation of the project in question assumes the implementation of remote reporting and booking solutions as part of innovative services. Innovative services will be performed to the maximum extent possible with the use of modern IT technologies (systems available from the application and website level), enabling booking from the Applicant''s services dedicated to customers interested in broadly understood spending time on board the boat.

The most important element of innovation is a holistic approach to customers, starting from acquiring knowledge / qualifications to control vessels, through access to the port infrastructure, and ending with the service and storage of boats. The innovative feature is the creation of a comprehensive service for water sportsmen in inland waters through training, retraining, providing places in the port, boat seasoning / wintering, boat service, as well as assistance on the water. The scope of innovation includes access to the complexity of servicing water sportsmen from the level of a dedicated application, which will have, among others, the following functionalities: - the possibility of making a seat reservation in the port; - the possibility of booking and purchasing services; - the possibility of creating a customer account; - handling of mobile payments and payment links; - checking the history of charges and payments; - the possibility of issuing grades; - the possibility of calling SOS help with automatic location transfer; - integration with sensor systems; - order confirmation service, - integration with the Applicant''s websiteThe Customer will have access to all indicated services from the level of the mobile application as well as the web browser without the need to establish any contact with the persons responsible for the provision of the indicated scope of services. At present, it is possible to book accommodation in hotels and boarding houses remotely, but it is not possible to book and automatically confirm reservations in the case of training services. Each organizer of such courses accepts enrollments, inter alia, electronically, but each time he also confirms the reservation (with a separate message) and sends information about the need to pay the advance. When it comes to services, e.g. car services (the most extensive in the field of electronic order calendars), even the most significant brands on the market do not offer the possibility of arranging the service in any other way than by telephone / direct contact with the employees responsible for these services. Points providing maintenance services for floating equipment book appointments mainly during telephone contact and with the use of e-mail channels. On the other hand, the possibility of booking a place in marinas is possible only with the use of direct contact with the port boatswain office, both personal and with the use of telephones or other communication solutions.

Summary of bilateral results

The partner specializes in manufacturing metal elements, including structural ones, in accordance with individual requirements, also for facilities located above water and exposed to external factors. Cooperation with a partner is important due to the need to build a hangar adapted to the servicing and storage of boats, where it will be necessary to make dedicated metal structures with built-in photocells. At the same time, it is necessary to maintain the correct operation of the IT system and proper reading of the information transmitted by the photocells built into the hangar structure. The proper operation of the system requires the involvement of a partner who specializes in various and dedicated surface treatment of metals in order to eliminate potential disruptions in the communication (IT) infrastructure in order to access information in real time, as well as having experience in incorporating various solutions into the structure, e.g. in the field of availability of seats. It should be noted that the most optimal solution is to install the photocells in the metal structures of the hall, due to the fact that if they are placed e.g. on the pillars in a protruding manner, there is a risk of their damage when bringing the boat in or out of the hangar (sailing boats have masts that can damage sensors or installations if installed outside of structural elements). The company will participate in the implementation of some of the works planned under task 1 in the field of construction of structural elements with built-in photocells in the service hangar and for storing boats. The cooperation was successful.
