Description
The aim of the project is to improve the functioning of the domestic violence prevention system in the cross-border region by creating a platform for coordinated activities in this area, i.e. a local Family Centre.
The innovative assumptions are: implementation of remote assistance for people in crisis (emergency telephone intervention) and introduction of legal assistance for Polish-speaking people from the cross-border area, who are in relationship with German citizens.
The project assumes increasing the competences of professionals working in areas of potential threat of violence, supporting women, teachers, support for parents, including those of children with diagnosed disabilities and neuroatypicals, support for children and youth; support for the local community and Internet users as part of universal prevention.
Activities within the project have been planned to support equal treatment and prevent exclusion of people with disabilities (some of activities organised on a remote basis). When selecting contractors activities do not discriminate in any way against people with disabilities or other limitations.
Activities within the project will be available to all interested people regardless of gender.
At the same time, the main objective of the project - counteracting domestic violence - must take into account the specificity of this violence, the victims of which - according to the analysis of this problem on a national and local scale - are overwhelmingly women. Therefore, the project includes activities dedicated to women.
Most of the activities planned in the project are of educational nature, in areas related to the risk of domestic violence. Therefore, it must cover equality topics. Wide acceptance of gender equality and the resulting consequences regarding social and professional roles, equal rights and obligations, is a basic element of early anti-violence prevention.
The project assumes equal participation of women and men in its management.
