Summary of the results

The objective of this Initiative was to identify how Croatia and Norway can contribute to the increase in capacity of sustainable aquaculture, by learning from their joined experiences, by implementing novel innovative and smart technologies and ideas and by advancing the blue skills in both countries. A strong framework for future cooperation related to sustainable aquaculture was achieved, using the results and knowledge accomplished from this project.

All activities (development of joined teaching activities, transfer of knowledge and skills related to sustainable aquaculture, student experiences and internships) contributed to strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between applicant and partner and helped establish network for future cooperation. Topics related to the challenges in development of aquaculture were discussed on meetings and workshops and compared between all relevant groups such as farming and supplier industry, national regulators, companies and students. In total 177 participants from Croatia and 91 took part in bilateral events and 11 joint results were created (reports, articles, newsletters, strategy, white paper, strategy for future cooperation and proceeding of webinar content).  During the implementation of the initiative 17 bilateral events were organized and attended by Croatian and Norway entities: trainings, workshops, visits, meetings etc.
