Description
The project RENEWSM aims to increase knowledge and raise awareness on renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy security in the County of Satu Mare. More specifically, the project''s target is to reach at least 2.000 inhabitants in Satu Mare county, including children, adults and local authorities and institutions representatives, and to raise awareness and increase their knowledge on energy.
The project will address the following needs and problems:
- increase knowledge on energy for 50 representatives of regional/local authorities, NGOs, university, public institutions through a short training and one comprehensive training;
- raise awareness on renewable energy, energy efficiency and security for 2.000 inhabitants of Satu Mare County: 1.000 pupils and 1.000 general public through a public campaign.
- exchanges of experiences and best practices shall be part of the comprehensive training under the form of a study visit in Norway and the final conference of the project
- a report on RES potential of Satu Mare region is highly needed as there is no energy plan, climate change plan, strategy for energy security at the level of Satu Mare County. The report shall encourage citizens as well as public stakeholders to see the RES potential in their region.

- a report on RES potential of Satu Mare region
The project has contributed to increasing the awareness regarding the energy efficiency and security in the targeted area.
Summary of bilateral results
The Norwegian Partner has had an important contribution to the implementation of the project by providing training and sharing of Norwegian experiences in the relevant field.
