Description

The project includes complex activities taking into account the natural and climatic features on the territory of Brezovo municipality, and is aimed at their development. Two activities are envisaged in the project, which include project management, construction and delivery of equipment for a modern Advisory Center for Bio farming, bio animal breeding and beekeeping on the territory of Brezovo municipality. Four new staff are planned to work at the new center and provide services for farmers and processors who want to switch from conventional to organic farming and/or processing their produce A guarantor of the quality of these services will be the partner of the project - Agricultural University – Plovdiv, which with the experience of its support units and centers will guarantee the quality training of the newly appointed staff and the services provided subsequently. Organic farming and livestock production will be stimulated on the territory of the municipality, which will contribute to its economic development by creating alternative employment of the population through new market opportunities and overcoming the negative effects of conventional agriculture on the environment. A network of interested natural and legal persons will be established to promote the development of an approach for the establishment of the municipality of Brezovo, as an ecologically clean area, offering certified products and services. Thus, the municipality will meet the objectives of the Smart Specialization Strategy, as well as the European objectives of the Green Deal, the Farm-to-Table Strategy and the Organic Farming Action Plan.
