The concept included the use of the most modern technologies. Visitors will be able to touch the Pirin mountain, a huge model of which will be located under a glass floor, on which the movement of people will be possible. Interactive visitor experiences are planned, with which they will start a virtual walk among history, geography and art. 2D and 3D technologies, multi-media projections, interactive elements, sound and light were used for the innovative layout. In the Museum, visitors will get to know the natural, cultural and architectural sights of the region from a different perspective. A permanent exhibition of local crafts has been created, which will allow tourists to touch them. The project made a maximum use of the natural, historical and cultural resources for the development of year-round tourism and reduction of seasonal employment in tourism by creating an interactive museum on the mountain in Bansko, aimed at the diversification of the tourist product through an innovative approach by presenting natural, historical and cultural features. Thus, a link was established between local traditional crafts and tourism, integrating disadvantaged people through their direct involvement and job creation. Five new jobs were created related to the activities of the Museum, as well as other activities in the field of tourist services. Beneficiaries of the results achieved: § "Museum Complex Bansko" - with its experience and capacity for the development and promotion of historical and archaeological sights of Bansko. § Municipal Office "Social Services Establishments", which employs occupational therapists - carpenters, artists and others, with whom disabled persons are able to make souvenirs to sell in the exhibition space for local crafts in the newly created museum. § The project implementation provided employment opportunities for 5 disadvantaged people.
A Museum of the Mountain and People, which is significantly different from traditional museums and their expositions, was established using the most modern technologies. This will contribute to the development of tourism in the municipality. It also provided the opportunity to open 5 jobs for 1 tour guide/driver to the archaeological sites, 3 museum workers and 1 employee in charge/maintenance of the exhibition hall for traditional local crafts. This led to improved unemployment on the territory of the municipality. The new employees received adequate training to carry out their duties and the corresponding certificates, which increased their professional qualifications.
