Description
The project envisages the creation of a Business Support Center in the municipality of Elena with the aim of increasing economic activity and preventing labor migration. It is planned to carry out activities related to ongoing repair and equipment of the premises for the Center, as well as the provision of employment for 3 people who will ensure its functioning. The main focus of the center''s work will be the creation and development of an integrated software product "The Electronic Exchange of Traditional Products and Services from the Elenian Balkans", which will represent a platform for marketing and advertising, a tool for local businesses to sell their goods and an opportunity to requesting consultations by service users. In connection with the support for the realization of the goods of the local business, the purchase of 1 light truck is planned. The project also provides for the provision of specialized training for 30 unemployed people, the organization of 4 job fairs, support for job applications for 30 unemployed people and the organization of training for 20 employers for the sustainable development of their business.
Summary of project results
The challenges included the task to stimulate the economic activity in Elena municipality by applying innovative approaches and creating employment, and also to support the local business by expanding the opportunities for direct sales and marketing of traditional products and services from the Elena Balkan.
The Business Support Center has been established, which helps local entrepreneurs to develop their own business, as well as to expand their market share for those with existing business. 30 unemployed/ inactive persons received support to apply for a job. 30 unemployed persons were trained in 3 modules: Bioagriculture entrepreneurship, Biolivestock and entrepreneurship and Local tourism and entrepreneurship. 20 employers were trained for sustainable development of their business.
Entrepreneurs from Elena municipality received support in the realization of goods and services through the created web-based platform for marketing and advertising (Electronic Exchange for Products and Services from Elena Balkan), as well as in the delivery of goods from local producers to consumers from all over the country.
