Description

Migrevention is an Estonian digital health technology company and a medical device manufacturer.

The main goal of the project is to complement and improve the developments carried out in the previously funded project, to create more secure and scalable authentication and identification options than before, to increase the quality of the product and thus to be a reliable partner for healthcare service providers. The full solution to be created consists of a patient mobile application and a specialist''s desktop, which are connected to each other. With the development of a fully functional and multidisciplinary digital solution, the platform shall reduce migraine sufferers’ burden, improve their quality of life and lead to the optimization of healthcare resources.

The project relies on the results of the previously funded project: "Development of Migrevention Digital Headache Clinic", which was targeted to development of the functions of the solution (including diagnostic algorithm, headache nurse counselling module, various developments supporting intervention research, developments of medication logging options, and specialist desktop developments in the interface). Current project focused on additions based on MDR regulations, scaling to different markets (incl. constantly changing laws in the healthcare field) and customer feedback.

Summary of project results

Project tackled to improve the availability of evidence-based migraine treatment by creating a fully digital and cost-effective digital headache clinic consisting of a patient''s mobile application and a specialist''s desktop connected to each other.

The main goal of the project was to complement and improve the developments carried out in the previously funded project, to create even more secure and scalable authentication and identification options than before, to increase the quality of the product and thus to be a reliable partner for healthcare service providers.

Within the implementation of the project, authentication and identification methods were improved in such a way that specialists can log in to the system using an ID card, Mobile ID or Smart ID. In the case of patients who are interfaced with the specialist''s desktop, personal identification is ensured using a personal identification code. In addition, the back-end and front-end of the preventive medication logging system and the diagnostic algorithm were improved and supplemented, on the basis of which a pre-visit questionnaire was created, which can already be connected to an MDR class I device. An MO algorithm has been added to the device, which allows for the prevention of medication abuse. As a result of the project activities, the back-end and front-end of the specialist''s desktop and the mobile application were also improved. Translations have been corrected in such a way that the mobile application can be used in Estonian, Russian and English. Security testing of the solution was postponed to the autumn of 2024.
