Description
The purpose is primarily to support the empowerment and self-advocacy of disadvantaged citizens in order to reduce the dependence of self-advocates in the exercise of their rights through foreign entities, the integration of disadvantaged citizens into society. The expected changes in municipalities and public services are also significant. Thanks to the support of employees, communication barriers will be gradually reduced. Society''s thinking needs to be changed to support the idea, so we will inform the public about the project''s intentions through a small campaign, thus reducing prejudices and fears about people with mental disabilities.

The project allowed us to continue long-term work with people with intellectual disabilities as part of the self-advocacy program. Thanks to the project, we were able to implement
group meetings with support key worker and we were able to participate in the public event Clean Up Kyjov.
What has been completely new, thanks to the project,
is the bond between us, practitioners and representatives municipalities (specifically the city of Kyjov and the Municipal Library in Kyjov). Thanks to a very
successful questionnaire survey, on the basis of which we prepared a manual for workers, in the fall of this year, after the end of the project, further training
and discussions will take place between our workers and municipal workers on the topic of communication with people with a disability.
