Description

Initiative will be carried out by the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau in partnership with Prime Minister’s Office of Iceland. Initiative is necessary to gain experience of Iceland as a small state and its good practices in prevention of conflict of interests and lobbying, reducing nepotism and communication with society on these matters. Aim of the initiative is to improve the Latvian legal regulation on prevention of conflict of interests, investigation of conflict of interests, prevention of seeming conflicts of interest and reduction of nepotism.

Summary of the results

Experience was gained of Iceland on its good practices in prevention of conflict of interests and lobbying, reducing nepotism and communication with society on these matters.
