Description

The student will work in a pilot research project called "The diagnosis of SARS-COV-2 using the chemical analysis of dried blood spots by means of LA-ICP-MS technique". The main goal of the project is to distinguish the blood of patients that were/all ill with SARS-COV-2 from the respective blood of healthy people using the elemental and isotopic analysis of dried blood spot (DBS) samples of paper. More than sixty elements will be measured in every sample by means of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) technique after sampling using laser ablation (LA). As a result of this
