Description

The general objective of the project is to create a set of actions and a system for monitoring and controlling the reduction of the carbon footprint of Onești Municipality, by reduction of pollution from various pre-identified sources. Project foreseen the following specific objectives: - elaboration of a Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Strategy/Plans in Onesti Municipality; - establishing a mechanism for monitoring and controlling the proposed actions; - assigning a team responsible for monitoring and implementing the strategy; - setting physically and temporally sized objectives to start proposed actions. The project implementation comprises the following main activities: 1. Communication - the beneficiary will communicate information about the financing obtained, proposed / obtained results, according to the Visual Identity Manual; 2. Procurement - public procurement procedures for all necessary goods and services; 3. Consultation - involving all relevant stakeholders; 4. Elaboration of the Plan; 5. Monitoring - a system for monitoring and controlling the implementation of the projects activities; 6. Reporting - the relevant reports will be prepared for the Programme Operator.

The direct expected results of the project are: - elaboration of a climate change mitigation and adaptation strategy at the level of the Municipality, including the related action plans and green-blue planning measures; - conducting a number of 5 workshops with relevant decision makers; - identification of areas at high risk of climate change; - analysis of areas with low rainwater drainage capacity; - identification of solutions and application methodology for under-grounding electrical / telecommunication cables.

The target groups are grouped into 4 categories: 1. Public institutions, 2. Economic operators, 3. Population, 4. Non-governmental organizations. The direct beneficiaries of the proposed measures are the public institutions. The indirect beneficiaries are the citizens.
