Description

The aim of the project is to prepare new educational tools attractive in terms of form and content for secondary school youth and to renew social ties after the pandemic.
The project will be attended by 120 secondary school students and 20 education workers responsible for the education process, methodological preparation of classes, and management staff.
The project implementation will be multi-faceted and will fully reflect the requirements imposed on applicants by the managing authority. The first area of the project will be the exchange of youth and education workers. As part of the exchange, workshops will also be organized to raise their competences, including in the use of social media, new technologies (including, for example, recording studios), preparation of promotional films or interviews. The use of the recording studio will also be used in self-presentation exercises. An important element of the exchange will also be the rehabilitation of young people after the pandemic, the return to traditional stationary learning and the exchange of experiences in the implementation of activities during the pandemic. The effect of this activity is to be the preparation of future educational instruments that could be used in a similar situation or as an alternative element of education.
Another element of the implemented project will be new educational tools aimed at increasing the activity of students and their involvement in the education process. These include: an educational application, e-book and educational computer games.
The entire project will be implemented in accordance with the principle of partnership and full participation of the project participants. The long-term effect of the project will be the preparation of educational tools used during didactic classes and their presentation during international symposia of modern participatory education.

Summary of project results

The project was extremely necessary as it addressed specific challenges related to education and student development, both in Poland and Norway. One of the main problems the project aimed to solve was to provide students with opportunities for learning and skill development in a dynamically changing educational environment.

The project aimed not only to increase access to modern educational tools such as a mobile application, computer game, and e-book, but also to develop soft skills such as creativity, intercultural cooperation, and self-learning ability. Therefore, the project focused on creating innovative educational tools that would enable students to develop interactively, engagingly, and tailored to their individual needs. Overcoming language, cultural, and technological barriers, the project aimed to create a space where every student could reach their full potential and prepare for future challenges.

Development of the mobile application: The mobile application was designed as an interactive educational tool, allowing students to access teaching materials, exercises, quizzes, and other resources anywhere, anytime. It was important to enable students to learn flexibly and personalized, tailored to their individual needs and pace.

Development of the computer game: The computer game was created as a tool to support the development of students'' cognitive and social skills. Through interactive scenarios and tasks, the game aimed to engage students in learning through play, develop logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Development of the e-book: The e-book contained educational content on first aid, tailored to the curricula of both partner schools. It was a compendium of knowledge that allowed students to access information in an accessible and attractive form, encouraging them to deepen their knowledge and self-learning.

These actions and products were significant because they enabled:

Flexible learning, regardless of time and place, which is particularly important in the context of remote learning and student mobility.
Improving the efficiency of the teaching process by using modern educational tools that facilitate access to knowledge and enable its rapid acquisition.

Summary of bilateral results

Cooperation with the donor country institution, in this case Glemmen videregående skole, brought many benefits to the project. The main benefit was the rich experience of Norwegian teachers and experts, which enriched the process of creating educational materials and organizing mobilities. Thanks to their involvement, the project gained an international dimension and diverse perspectives, which positively influenced the quality of the results. It was also significant that the Norwegian school helped overcome language and cultural barriers, enabling effective communication and integration between students and teachers from both countries. The bilateral cooperation yielded numerous results. The project allowed for an improvement in knowledge and understanding of education-related issues, both on the Polish and Norwegian sides. Students and teachers from both schools had the opportunity to learn new teaching methods, culture, and traditions of the partner country, increasing their intercultural awareness and interpersonal skills. The partnership also led to broader effects, such as the development of new educational tools, integration of school communities, and promotion of international educational cooperation.Furthermore, the bilateral cooperation with Glemmen videregående skole inspired us to consider continuing our collaboration through the implementation of another project. The next project could also focus on deepening cooperation between students and teachers from both schools through additional mobilities, workshops, or exchange of experiences. We may also consider topics related to other areas of education, such as mental health, cultural awareness, or digital skills. The future project could also address new goals and challenges that have emerged with dynamic changes in the educational and social environment. For example, we can focus on developing skills related to the future of work, entrepreneurship, or sustainable development.
