Description
Main objective: to create a film bridge between the culture of Romania and Norway / consolidating bilateral realities through a film bridge.
Secondary objectives: developing the skills of staff involved in youth education and initiating a film education program for middle school classes; exchange of good practices between the promoter and partners regarding the cultural management / management of a film festival; these will be achieved Main activities:
Summary of the results
All the activities included in the application were achieved:
- Organizing a film education workshop.
The workshop inaugurated the partnership between the Ceau Film Festival, Cinema! with BIFF, the biggest film festival in Norway and one of the most important in Northern Europe. During the Ceau Festival, Cinema! the following activities from this project were carried out: Focus Norway and Discussion Panels.
- The organization of the Focus Norway section of the Ceau, Cinema Film Festival! 10th Edition
This activity had an important role in strengthening the bilateral relationship by highlighting Norwegian cinematographic works in front of the Timisoara public, and not only, in a special moment for the city, the year in which it held the title of European Capital of Culture, in the presence of the filmmakers and the Norwegian partner.
- The organization of four discussion panels within the Ceau Film Festival, Cinema! 10th edition.
This activity consisted in the organization of four panels within the Ceau, Cinema! Film Festival, between 13-14.07.2023, with speakers from among the managers, founders of the most important film festivals and coordinators of independent cinemas in Romania, such as and Norwegian guests, specialists with extensive experience in the field, who were able to share from their professional experience the most valuable lessons learned, in four focused discussions.
- Carrying out a study visit to Bergen, Norway.
