Description

The aim of the project will be to develop a minimum standard for education and training providers practising this form of education in order to ensure the quality of the learning process by:

  • developing and recommending a minimum standard of remote education for education and training providers - with particular emphasis on the principle of accessibility
  • developing a standard for trainers practising this form of education
  • pilot implementation of standards in the Applicant''s organisation
  • developing a training/course for education practitioners to train their competences and qualifications in remote education
  • conducting 5 pilot trainings on remote education standards for trainers/educators/animators
  • developing and launching an e-learning course on standards
  • preparing and publishing a book on standards for remote education on the educational market
  • organising a conference promoting the assumptions of the project and standards - among potentially interested units involved in education and training, combined with the promotion of the book

Areas of intervention leading to the increase in the quality of remote education:

  • analysis of used educational tools in terms of technology and educational formulas
  • analysis of the tools in terms of accessibility for people with special needs - in accordance with the Act on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities
  • disciplined analysis in terms of the needs of the participant, taking into account people with special needs and the nature of the teaching formula
  • development of training content for remote education on the basis of available tools and educational formulas
  • activities aimed at educating and disseminating the standard.

Summary of project results

The project aimed to develop and implement quality standards for remote education for educational organisations and training staff.

A market without quality standards cannot develop properly, as there are no clear guidelines for service providers or clients to use (when evaluating services and offers). This can lead to quality inflation, making the core business of the beneficiary less profitable in the long term. The idea behind SEZ was therefore that the market can control itself through jointly created industry standards. At the same time, we emphasise that these standards should not be artificially imposed standards (such as ISO or SUZ).

Within the project, we worked in project teams divided according to six perspectives of remote services: strategic, methodological, hr, accessibility, technical and formal-legal. The teams, built by the beneficiary, developed several products and substantive content, which were then developed into final form by the partner''s experts. In this way, the following documents were developed:
- Standard for Organisations
- Standard for Personnel
- A training programme for educators implementing the standards themselves
- An online course
 - A book publication containing the standards.

In total, there are 92 standards described through 223 detailed guidelines, each with additional practical guidance.
In addition, numerous materials have been produced to support the process at various stages: drafts for workshop exercises, interactive online materials, descriptions of training options.
The relevance of these outputs, including all additional materials, is that they provide the set needed to implement the standards on a larger scale.

The project did not aim to measure the results of the implemented changes. There was too little time since implementation to speak of reliable results. Nevertheless, the activities included a pilot in the beneficiary organisation and a series of trainings/workshops for staff, followed by practical lessons learned based on feedback, which are included here: https://standardy.edu.pl/wnioski/
These standards have the potential to become a model nationally, with the potential to increase accessibility and educational equity. Improving the quality of remote education, especially in times of increased demand for such forms of learning, is crucial for the future development of the information society.
