Description

This Bilateral Initiative will be focused in finding the challenges and opportunities within the marine coproduct valorisation sector, relevant for successfully steer the sector in Portugal therefore leading to new business models, new value-chains, new technologies and processes, new intermediary businesses, etc. By gathering significant know-how through cross border collaboration with Donor institutions, we aim that this BI will result in a framework design to develop a Roadmap for Marine Coproduct Valorisation in Portugal (RMCVP), while boosting research and business partnerships between

Summary of the results

The impact was notably positive, resulting in a total of 15 news pieces covering the Roadmap4MarineCoproducts project.

Results Media Presence: Coverage in recognized media outlets such as SIC, TVI/CNN, Observador, Antena 1, Rádio Renascença, among others; Coverage in specialized Portuguese media (Green Savers, Jornal Económico, Jornal Têxtil, Fashion Network, among others). Coverage in international specialized media (Mis Peces); Diverse Coverage: Spread across different mediums – online, TV, radio, specialized channels - broadening the project''s media exposure; Digital Marketing efforts included numerous posts about the project, related topics, and activities, totaling 45 posts across B2E CoLAB''s social media channels; Impressions: 22 631 (demonstrating engagement as it reflects the number of times users viewed the content); Reactions: 832 (indicating the number of individuals reacting positively to the published content); Variety of Content: Utilization of diverse post formats – news, videos, reels, posters, shares, photographs – to convey information and maintain audience interest.

The organisation of the final event comprised: Approximately 40 attendees (exceeding initial expectations).
Development of event graphics; Inviting PT speakers to the conference; Event promotion to relevant databases and institutions aligned with the project''s target audience; Logistical coordination for visits by delegations from Norway and Iceland to major co-product generating companies.
