Description

The Pontes Association has been working for refugee women from Ukraine since March 2022. We started with material and psychological assistance. We launched a programme of free Polish language lessons, lectures and mentoring. Camp Стійка мама & підліток is a chance for mental rest for 100 refugee Ukrainian mothers and their children, who take part in our educational and integration activities. The camp will create conditions for calming down, regain mental balance and contact with nature.
During the 8-day stay, in the picturesquely situated Klecza, 40 mothers and 60 of their teenage children

Summary of the results

Two Summer Psychoeducational camps were organized. Participants were Ukrainian mothers, their teenage daughters and young children. Both camps were organized in places that facilitate recreation and contact with nature. In addition to the daily Mental Health Workshops, the participants took part increative activities and integration games.
The goals of the project have been fully achieved. The goals were the following:
-    Encourage a group of Ukrainian mothers and their teenage daughters to take a break from the  reality of the war and the state of uncertainty;
-    Educate the above-mentioned group on mental health issues and give them practical tools to become resilient and to improve interpersonal communication;
-    Create conditions that strengthen family relationships and reduce stress through active recreation and contact with nature. To verify whether our goals have been achieved,  questionnaires were created that participants completed at the end of the program.
