Summary of the results

As part of the accomplished initiative the following activities were undertaken:
- two professional workshops for refugee women led by psychologists were carried out (a workshop on dealing with trauma/stress and a workshop on assertiveness together with a series of women''s circles);
- two thematic workshops for children were organised (an art workshop entitled "designer" and a field workshop entitled "bushcraft");
- a series of physical fitness classes led by an instructor were held (classes open to both mothers and children);
- trips to outdoor venues were organised

The intended objectives were achieved - in a series of qualitative interviews summarising the project the recipients of the activities clearly indicated an increase in well-being and a sense of activation, as well as the acquisition of specific skills to cope with crisis and trauma situations. They often emphasised a sense of sharing the experience and the ability to name the experienced emotions and to cope with them independently. The goal of increasing children''s well-being was also achieved - it was measured by the project coordinator''s participatory observation and by the conclusions collected from the young participants at the end of the project about their perception of the activities carried out. The most fully realised objective was to increase the wellbeing of young Ukrainians through integration into a group of peers who are compatriots.
